Non-removable dentures on implants: for single tooth or tooth line defects and tooth decay.
Prosthetics with one or more teeth missing - A dental technician's lab produces one or more crowns (single / bridges) that will be attached to implants in the oral cavity. This method outperforms traditional bridge prosthesis because it will not grind adjacent healthy teeth.
Jaw prosthesis - At least 6 implants are inserted into the jaw, but the exact number is determined by the individual clinical situation. The dental technician's lab then makes a complete dental prosthesis that is attached to the implants in the oral cavity after removal of the imprint.
Removable Dentures on Implants (Plaque) - These are similar to classic removable dentures. Their main advantage over classics is their fixation and stability. Classic dentures only stick to the gums, and special pastes or glues are used to attach them, but despite these auxiliary fixation aids, classic dentures hold loose, moving, and fall out. Removable dentures that are fixed on implants are stable and will not fall out while eating or talking. At least two implants are required for this type of prosthesis in the incisive jaw, with at least four implants for greater stability.
Implant fixation distinguishes between:
Cemented Dentures - The implant is attached to the implant using cement, much like traditional crowns are applied to brushed teeth. The biggest disadvantage of cemented dentures: The cementation boundary lies deep beneath the gums, which complicates the removal of excess cement, which can lead to inflammation in the bone around the implant.
Screw prosthesis - The crown chewing surface has a small opening through which the prosthesis is attached to the implant with the help of a screw. This opening is subsequently sealed and is therefore imperceptible. Screwed dentures have better aesthetic qualities, the likelihood of cementation disappears, and gums around the denture are better formed.
Dentures can be made from different materials depending on the clinical situation and the patient's wishes.
